Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation

This treatment involves exposing a small amount of a patient's blood to ultraviolet light. UBI therapy raises the resistance of the patient and is therefore able to control many disease processes. A fundamental effect of UBI is to energize or enhance the biochemical and physiological defenses of the body. It is well known that ultraviolet radiation is used to purify water and treat sewage.
UBI treatment can increase venous oxygen in patients with depressed blood oxygen values. Of special interest is that a rapid rise in resistance to viral and bacterial infection, acute or chronic, occurs. No harmful effects have been observed with UBI therapy in thousand of cases or viral infections, hepatitis, bacterial infections, hypoxemia, and many other illnesses.
